Nathan Wehrman is a lifelong member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, MO. He was born into a musical family with his sisters and mother being musicians, church organists and music teachers. Nathan is a self-taught guitarist and songwriter. He has been a lifelong farmer, rancher and cowboy, and he began writing songs about his experiences on the farm and riding his horses in Colorado. Most all of his songs have Christian or Bible based lyrics. Often times he has written songs for his pastors, based on selected passages from scripture to go along with their sermons. He enjoys writing and performing songs at numerous churches, dinner concerts, Ag related meetings, county fairs, weddings, graduations, funerals, birthdays, and numerous other large and small events.
Nathan and his wife Kaylyn met on the first day of first grade in 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran School, and they were married in 1977 by their same pastor who confirmed them in 1971. Their children Claire and Caleb are both married, and they enjoy having their grandchildren, Norah, Grant and Levi (ages 6, 5, and 1) helping on their family farm. Nathan’s mother Natalie Wehrman, as well as his wife Kaylyn, have been active in LWML, have led as Presidents at Immanuel, served as officers of their Southwest MO Zone, and enjoyed many LWML Rallies and Conventions.
Nathan is currently serving as President Chairman at Immanuel, Lockwood. He wants to use his music to give glory to God, and he is thankful for the opportunity to write and sing the LWML District Convention “20/20 Vision” theme song. Nathan has several CD’s of his original songs available by contacting kaylynjw@gmail.com or Facebook messaging Kaylyn Schnelle Wehrman.
