We have returned from our 20^th Biennial District Convention, on fire in our service for our Lord through the LWML.  What a blessing the convention was to all who attended. 

Our hosts for the convention, women from the St. Charles and Washington Zones, invited us to their area of the District and did a great job in leading us on our own precious journey.  We owe them a special thank you for all their hard work.

Our speakers, Bible Study leaders and the worship services focused on Christ’s Precious Journey from His birth to His ascension.

Again this year, a Mission Walk was held and more than $8,000 was pledged. The Mission Fair, consisting of donated items and crafts, earned more than $4,220, all of which will go toward our new mission goal.  Delegates to the Convention approved a new mission goal for the 2008-2010 Biennium of $331,000. 

It is my privilege to serve as President, alongside the other officers and committees who are truly “serving with gladness”. Our goal is that we reach out to all women in our district and provide the spiritual growth opportunities needed to use their gifts in serving others.

My prayer is that I will be an encouragement to each of you as so many of you continue to be to me.  You will be remembered in my prayers and I ask each of you to remember the district officers in your prayers.  God’s Blessings!
