Need A Speaker?

Present the LCMS Health Ministries' program on severe mental illness:

  • One out of every five families is coping with mental illness.

  • Medical research indicates the brain can be broken.

  • Mental illness is not a person's fault, it is more like diabetes of the brain.

  • Families do not cause mental illness, they react to it.

  • Learn symptoms of bipolar disorder, panic/anxiety attacks, schizophrenia, major depression, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

  • Learn why medications work, side effects, and what can go wrong in the brain.

  • Hear about family and personal experience of coping with mental illness.

Stigma forces people into silence when a loved one becomes ill.  Please be part of helping reach out in an educated way to these families and people in our congregations.

To arrange a presentation for your LWML or congregation, contact Linda Preus at 314-849-6125 or 9228 Lavant Drive, St. Louis, MO 63126 or lindapreus@hotmail.com.
